I’m one of the devs on a relatively big mod, we try to stick to one release per major mc version, we were running 1.21/1.21.1 but recently changed to 1.21.4 because our mod is for a server that the majority of users use so us being on an older version blocks it from updating and they asked us to update.

Some updates are easier than others, it really depends on what changed. I wasn’t developing the mod when the 1.19 ports were done but I was for the 1.20.2 port which wasn’t too bad but I personally did most of the 1.21.4 port with some help at the end from another dev.

It’s probably not the best way to do it but I just upped the mc version, tried to compile and see what broke. Sometimes it’s just an argument removed or added to a method, sometimes a class got changed to a record. Other times a system has been completely reworked and at that point I’d go to the Fabric post or look at the NeoForge primers for more details on how those systems changed. For example, in 1.21.2 entity rendering got completely redone so we no longer had access to the entity itself in rendering so needed to work out how to get access to that which was a bit of a pain.

But basically it’s mostly dependent on when you have time, the resources are out there to make the actual process easier.

Rom and Al is a pretty interesting mind battle, iirc Rom was a strategist in the demi human war so he’s a clever guy and Al is obviously Al with his ability to loop.

Really glad I started reading the side stories, quite a few popping up now with the arrival of the Flander’s gangs.

Another troublesome fight for Al is coming, although i doubt it will take as many tries as Reinhard I think it’s still gonna be a few

Another show that like Andor I had little interest in when announced and after watching it turned out to be great. Wish that was the case for the shows I was actually interested in when announced.

If there’s no season 2 I think the ending was fine, just felt like there could’ve been another episode or just had this finale be extended another 10-20 minutes. But if there is a season 2 then that’ll improve the ending a lot. Really hoping a season 2 does get announced at celebration

Holy shit what a chapter. Reinhard really is OP. All those ridiculously powerful spells and he was just easily avoiding them all until the end, probably the most damage Reinhard has taken in his entire life. And now Al’s final trick up his sleeve, wonder how that’ll play out.

Also loved Al’s little joke introducing himself as Stride Vollachia, Sinarchbishop of Pride. Maybe half of that was true? Who knows

I think the only reason they haven’t officially done it is because Gura is the most subbed VTuber, if and when Marine overtakes her I expect they’ll probably announce it

So definitely seems like this is what members will be doing going forward, not a full graduation so it still allows them to come back for special occasions.

And so ends the first cour of season 3.

Firstly this episode, another great one. The Crusch scene was really well done, the dragon blood really does look horrible.

Still no mention of Wilhelm’s wound, I assume that’s just going to be cut. But he still has it as we saw him holding his shoulder in a previous episode.

And Emilia standing up to Regulus and seeing all the wives reactions before Subaru and Reinhard arrive, what an entrance.

Overall a fantastic first cour, I really hope the 2nd is able to be at a consistent level of quality because if so it’s seeming like we’ll be eating good. And hopefully the arc 6 adaptation is confirmed towards the end, either for a season 4 or as the 2nd half/3rd & 4th cour of season 3

Oh wow just seen that Al’s face was partially visible at one point I didn’t even notice that. Only really his eyes but they do look a lot like Subaru’s, the theory gets some more fuel
