Could be fit (more snug with less wiggle room in the crotch can lead to blow outs, same with biking in the jeans) - I exclusively wear raw denim, admittedly brands other than the ones I recommended, and haven’t had any blow outs. The only wear beyond fades on my momotaros is from leaving them cuffed for too long and had some slight scarring. Most of my pants are 6-10 yrs old at this point. I typically wear a relaxed fit or denim with a relaxed taper to minimize pressure points/stress spots on the jeans.

My favorite brands are Oni and Pure Blue Japan but they are likely above the desired price point.

I view Levi with elastene/stretch as fast fashion and am against the impact of pre-faded and washed jeans have on the environment and laborers in those factories. I prefer to go with unwashed/un-faded pure cotton.

Regardless, you can always go for something cheaper - I’m not forcing you to do anything, just presenting options that have worked for me.

  • Ok, I’ll bite. So no warning labels? I understand that this is being interpreted as a result of litigation. If there’s not a warning label on a car seat or crib for your newborn… Honestly, why would I need to make sure there aren’t blankets in the crib or that the mattress isn’t too close to my space heater? If the mattress catches on fire or my child suffocates because they’re too small to rotate onto their back but their airway was obstructed by the comfy furry blankets I put into their crib - look, I just wanted them to be comfortable!

I may have lost my baby, but there’s no point in suing anyone. I should have known better! There were no warning labels. I’ll just sleep it off - a life lost, but nobody to blame. It’s chill, all good!

  • These things actually only degrade as your cat uses them in America. Elsewhere the cardboard doesn’t mix with hair and fall off into little cardboard chunks that are attractive for small children to eat. Also, the structural integrity actually only gets stronger in other parts of the world, so you’re actually encouraged to step on it, as after some play and what might seem like structural damage to a piece of cardboard, it can actually support the weight of a fully grown adult.

  • What do you mean fighting Linux compatibility? I’m genuinely wondering.

I game exclusively on Linux and have had zero compatibility issues with games (I can’t play battlefield 6 or Riot games, but that’s it). Is it that you exclusively want to play battlefield?

All other games run smoothly with periodic updates to proton-ge, which can then be selected from the steam compatibility options. It’s like 2-3 clicks and it’s all via gui.

    I also have a rather large game library… It’s not like I’m playing 1 game…

Edit: I understand that change is hard, and I’ll take the down votes, but I haven’t gotten an answer. If it’s that you only play games with kernel level security that requires windows, totally valid - rock on brother. If it’s that you only play games that are exclusive to PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo - you do you, my friend. I’m just trying to understand the broad generalization that compatibility on Linux is the primary issue.
