Something on-battery would be cool, but with that Duracell PowerCheck implementation never seemed right to me, it seemed to show the battery having more and more power the harder and harder I pushed on the spots. 🤷

Flipside 4 wallet, put a clip on the lanyard to clip to my shorts so doesn’t slip out of my pocket. I had a custom thin RFID made that I slipped between the outside of the lid’s rfid-blocking plate and the plastic lid itself to get into my apt building’s various doors. Wallet has all my cards and key, and cash for the rare times I have it.

I always carry a victorinox classic sd sak with a big orange Paracord lanyard on it so I don’t lose track of it. It’s black and limited edition with a cool skeleton carrying a Halloween bucket graphic.

I carry a Spyderco manbug as well, good slicer, small unscary size. Has super blue steel, so cool patina near the edge. I have a clip on that as well so doesn’t fall out of my shorts pocket.

I have a modified Leatherman style ps as well, removed the scissors (scissors better on the sak anyways) and added a little titanium prybar that has a sharp enough edge for opening packages. That has a carabineer-style clip that clips on edge of my pocket.

I wear an apple watch ultra, good for apple pay, timers/alarms and texts. Siri to check stuff like sports scores in a pinch. Negates me needing actual phone, I tend to leave iPhone 13 mini in a cheap Etsy “Arnie” case (cameras are barrels of gun from that movie Commando) at home, unless I feel like I’ll need the entertainment of f’ing with my phone wherever I’m going

I wear wedding ring out always, bracelet my wife made me often, next to the apple watch. Often have a mechanical wrist watch on other wrist, varies which (have a collection.) I often wear a couple/few Happy Beads bracelets with the mechanical watch to put the finishing touches.

Vast majority of the time I’m just wearing sandals, shorts & T-shirt (I work from home).

I don’t think I’m jaded, I’m actually hopeful Dems will do the right thing here. I just have a fundamental thing where I can’t vote for somebody I don’t want in office.

I believe you believe what you said completely. I shouldn’t have said ‘mild hyperbole’, that’s wrong since that would mean an intentional exaggeration.

I do think the biggest trouble Trump would cause if re-elected that we couldn’t address once he’s out is him not leaving. Feels like a too-high-odds deal of American electoral democracy ending with him. In that way I think Trump is a bigger issue than even your language conveys.

I have the luxury of throwing away my vote not living in a swing state, but I think others have similar voting instincts/morals/whatever that do live in those swing and near-swing states, and it will make the difference and let Trump in office ☹️ Right now I have to hope Dems will realize Biden wouldn’t win before it’s too late to replace him. That said, I bet they do the right thing; even with all the noise and biases in polls I think this is big enough where it’ll become apparent in the data in the coming weeks regardless, and I can’t see them going forward with what they will realize is a can’t-win candidate. They’ll wake the fuck up 🤞

I don’t follow the polls or politics I have to admit. Pretty sure Biden wouldn’t beat Trump if he’s on the ticket, but I’m guessing Dems will figure that out soon and put someone else up. We’ll see I suppose.

Michelle Obama sounds bizarre, I know she’s generally liked and many Americans crave political family dynasties, but I got the impression back in the day she didn’t really like politics and wasn’t that into Barry even pursuing the presidency nor reelection. I know it’s broken thinking, like I said. Just sharing, doubt I’m the only broken voter out there. Voting for individuals I don’t actually want in office feels like negotiating with terrorists.
