Ignoring the obvious fact that trans people are like everyone else. Any law against any group will fuck with everyone else. They wanted to ban abortions and now in some states, docs are afraid of saving your life because they might be blamed for the death of the fetus. They didn’t fuck with “women who love abortions” (as if that was real) they fucked with every pregnant woman’s life and in proxy, their friends and family’s life. If they target trans people, they are one poorly written law away to ruin your life and as they target trans people… They clearly aren’t particularly the kind of people who might would get it “right”.

How is it made sparsely? The training time for e.g. chatgtp 4 was 4 months. Chatgtp 3.5 was released in November 2023, chatgtp 4 was released in March 2024. How many months are between that? Oh look at that… They train their ai 24/7. For chatgtp 4 training, they consumed 7200MWh. The average American household consumes a little less than 11000kWh per year. They consumed in 1/3 of the time, 654 times the energy of the average American household. So in a year, they consume around 2000 times the electricity of an average American household. That is just training. And that is just electricity. We don’t even talk about the water. We are also ignoring that they are scaling up. So if they would which they didn’t, use the same resources to train their next models.

And I hope you understand that using the LLM locally consuming the same amount as gaming is completely missing the point, right? The training and the required on-going training is what makes it so wasteful. Your usage of “should” suggest an “ought” and given your previous criticism of my behavior, I made the assumption that you would suggest an ought. If I was wrong, I am sorry.

I never said or did anything that suggested that you can’t find the joke funny. My comment even highlights the reasons why you would find it funny. And I really don’t think anything suggested that it wasn’t based in reality and/or that it has to be.

And ultimately, you chose to read a comment with (at the time) ±20 down votes, you chose to engage with that “negative” content to complained about that “negative” content. When I wrote my initial comment, I didn’t chose to be bothered by people unable to read what it actually and clearly says. When you engaged with my comment, you chose to have this interaction. You chose to engage in a hostile conversation. And reading something seemingly hostile as hostile, is kinda the point of the joke. So I acted entirety within the framework that the joke that you try to defend, sets up.

So I can’t criticize something, while enjoying it (or some parts of it) but people can’t make the difference between criticism and trying to ban it, and/or they can’t deal with criticism of a media that they enjoy and therefore it kills their joy. Ok.
