TheBatz@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Scientists unveil methane munching monster, 100 million times faster than natureEnglish4·2 years agoSure, reducing the methane emissions of a few farms might lead to an increased consumption of meat. Which would annihilate the positive effect brought by such innovation.
TheBatz@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Scientists unveil methane munching monster, 100 million times faster than natureEnglish32·2 years agoI feel like this will cause a huge “rebound effect” (not sur if it’s the correct translation)
Tbh I might use an activity based chat where I could privately ask or talk about it, instead of commenting. The way they implemented it looks kinda random and forced
I aim for 50-60km a week depending on what I am training for
Just finished my last week of training for a marathon. Now 2 weeks chill and recovery. Let me know if you any tips
TheBatz@sh.itjust.workstoworldnews@sh.itjust.works•Japan to release Fukushima water into ocean starting Aug 24English5·2 years agoThat’s a fair argument. Although I am against making a generalization, especially since the IAEA who greenlighted the operations seems to be fairly independent
TheBatz@sh.itjust.workstoworldnews@sh.itjust.works•Japan to release Fukushima water into ocean starting Aug 24English201·2 years agoThe biggest issue with these topics is the lack of trust toward the scientists, or even forgetting that there are any scientists working on the project. It’s not as if the prime minister woke up to the idea of dumping nuclear waste into the ocean
I stopped using StackOverflow because of Reddit. The people over there are much friendlier and give better answers.
I installed LineageOS 20 a few days ago and I love it. I wanted to extend my OnePlus 6t lifetime but needed my bank apps so it is not de-googled (yet). I don’t know if it because of the custom ROM or just a factory reset but I am trying to run as many as possible foss apps and preparing for a de-googled experience

Sweet! How did you get the rounded corners?
I have a pair of Altra Rivera 3 that have ~1500km. I am not sure there is any rule (except for marketing) saying you should change your shoes every x kms. I have a friend running ultras in >500km shoes because they are more comfortable and fit better.
IMO, you should change your shoes when they start to get uncomfortable
