To be super technical about the argument (sorry): Your initial comment is irrelevant to the subject since the post talks about (fictional) starships to which very different (and handwavy) physics apply.

Jaa das wäre auch nicht mein Vorschlag. Der Peak entsteht ja erst durch das Datenvolumen-Preismodell. Eine realistische Bepreisung wäre konstant bzw. nach angebotener Bandbreite und würde sich an den Betriebskosten der Infrastruktur orientieren.

Das stimmt, aber Datenvolumen ≠ Traffic. Wenn alle anfang des Monats surfen gibts große Peaks im Traffic die die Anbieter abfangen müss(t)en.
