Get out of here with that both sides bullshit. If you voted for a Nazi you wanted a Nazi more than a working country, full stop. And those that did and are now somehow surprised he is doing exactly what he said he would are getting no sympathy from me, and they should be taking responsibility for the pain being waged against marginalized groups.

It’s also frustrating to spread the word and make sure everyone knows the consequences. And then with everyone 100% knowing the outcome, decided a fascist was the best choice. The guy who had a playbook out months in advance detailing his plans of terror and destruction. The guy that every time he opened his mouth spewed racism, Hitler praising, promises of being a dictator, conspiracy theories, and on and on. And people heard/saw that and were like, YEP!

The idea still blows my mind. And I’m not sure I’ll get to a point where I can understand why someone would sell us all out like that, and then still consider us on the same side.

It also takes longer than 4 years to rebound everyone out of the spiral Trump left the nation in. I think messaging around realistic goals and checkpoints could go a very long way to allowing people to understand no President is going to save everyone in a single term, or probably in 2 terms, especially if they have a crater to climb out of just to start at zero. Real change is a long term goal, it would take multiple administrations working towards a goal.

I have heard that schools in my area have begun the process of making “code red” plans if ICE or someone shows up to schools looking for students/parents. It is being done by small groups and no details shared outside of the people they are contacting to share the plan with. It’s all scary as hell and I HATE that it’s even a thing. =(

OMG yes, I soooo wish I could, but my brain needs input! Not knowing does not compute. I originally had the plan to block all the news/political communities as soon as I knew the election outcome, but not knowing what is coming feels worse than the emotional weight of knowing good people are being hurt as a distraction by some shit heads so that they can rob us for all we have (as a country).

Is that actually a thing you have confirmed happening anywhere though? I can see a qualification tie going to diversity (because diversity has been proven to spark creative solutions, etc.), but the myth that “whites” are just being passed over for anyone “non-whites” sounds like racist propaganda. And repeating it as a “question” is playing, either intentionally or not, into that propaganda.

Trump obviously doesn’t understand artificial demand, and demand pricing. The only way to guarantee consumers are going to pay a low baseline price is for the government to offset that price difference so that Big Oil can still make the graph go up.

It should be just USPS as that is federally controlled, while all the others are not. This move goes towards weakening and sabotaging the USPS, because guess what it delivers that every other carrier does not, ballots.

Looks like they are dropping the “Alpha” tag also, as it doesn’t really apply anymore.

Moving away from the Alpha label

Also remember that Tesla owns I think just shy of 10K Bitcoins that actually allowed its numbers this quarter by $600 million. And the way Trump has his minions pulling all crypto regulations look for Tesla to exploit it to the max going forward. Maybe they’ll even buy some $TRUMP coins and announce $ELON coins for foreign entities looking to launder money destined for the White House.

If it wasn’t for all the negatives, it would certainly be amusing to have a giant face for people to vandalize constantly (by even GOP folks who will have the spell broken) when Trump is gone from the this world. Nobody likes him, and nobody actually respects him, they all just see him as a means to an end (power/$).

I don’t know why, but a graffiti competition on Trumps giant head would be pretty entertaining. Make it a poll and winner gets to have their art displayed for a year. Hell, make it a fundraiser and help some people hurt by this monster also.

I don’t think it’s always a difficult task to tell if someone is arguing in bad faith or not, and someone basing their argument on incorrect information is not that (and I assume you know that). So trying to say that I see a mere disagreement on a topic the same as one made in bad faith sounds like you’re trying to conflate the two, making it a bad faith argument.

But if pretending a ‘difference of opinion = bad faith argument’ is what you’re looking for I guess good luck. That is what I would call a “circle jerk”, but to each their own. Not sure how that type of discussion with no basis in reality can help anyone to “learn and grow” though.
