If you fix a problem, you can’t campaign on it.
If you fix a problem, you can’t campaign on it.
That makes sense. It wasn’t coming across in the earlier comments.
Yes, but a clear crystal is a clear crystal.
No, different materials have different refractive indices, even if they’re both “clear crystals.” Maybe the examples given are very close in refractive index, but they still differ, therefore split light differently. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_refractive_indices
I’m not saying it’s the entire difference, but it certainly comes into play. It could be that the more “explosive” light example is cut identically, but held slightly askew versus the others.
Point is, it’s not just the cut that impacts the result.
Isn’t it both shape and material? The refractive index of the material is important in determining how much the light bends at the interface.
So many things we need to focus on as a country, and this is what the priority is. Or, at least, this is what we hear about. Either way, it’s ridiculous.
Bitwise and with 0x1. If result is 0, it’s even. Least significant bit is always 1 for odd numbers.
I worry about it every time I hear about another shooting. So basically constantly.
I try to tell myself that it’s unlikely, or we live in a place it couldn’t possibly happen…which is all BS and I know it.
I just have to hope it’s something I’ll never have to deal with. If I was truly that concerned, I’d have to home school, and that’s just not going to happen. So it’s basically a low level of constant dread, and it’s disgusting that this is where we’re at here, because no one wants to face the facts and actually do anything about problem.
Correct, that’s the joke.
I’m sorry you had to deal with that, but I’m glad your family is ok.
Every time I hear about these events (so WAY too fucking often) I think about my kids, and I hope that we never have to deal with that situation. I’m in the state, and I have plenty of friends in Madison. This is practically hitting home for me.
It also reminds me of the situation we did deal with, which was an abuser. When my kid was in kindergarten. We’re pretty sure nothing happened to our kid, but FUCK. I have never wanted to beat someone to death with my own two hands before, but given the chance I definitely could have seen myself losing control.
What a fucked up country. I was going to say world, but no, it’s just here.
Montana.
Went for a funeral, wasn’t there long enough to see much of anything, no touristy stuff at all. View from the hotel was nice, minus the highway cutting through the foreground.
Can’t give a fair recommendation, given how little I saw.
So does Sheboygan (Cheboygan). Probably more.
I was thinking about putting my 2m antenna in the attic, I didn’t think about metal though. I have asphalt shingles but I have solar panels basically covering the south face. I’m guessing the brackets, panels, and wiring will all add up to my plan not panning out well.
That’s my plan for our new home. I just have to figure out what to buy.
Otherwise, we have a couple of light-up penguins that my kids like having out for Christmas. I could be just fine without any decorations, but it is what it is.
Yeah, time to pack up and make a change. Find a new place before you quit, and I wish you luck.
Believe me when I say there ARE better organizations out there, even in healthcare. I work for a regional healthcare org, and we’ve got well-enforced policies for security (among other things). We actively work to maintain our environment to supported equipment only, and we have more than 2 people doing it.
Good luck.
Please don’t take those recommendations out of context.
They also recommend MFA, but people only ever bring up the “no rotation” bit.
I see a “Women for T****” sign down the road. That’s what the words say, anyway. What it says to me is “I vote against my own best interest.”
While I generally agree, I must say that my Ryobi tools are doing just fine after 15ish years of use. Primarily the drill is what’s used, and it’s seen some shit but aside from a little cosmetic issue (rubber peeling off here and there) it’s in great working order. I can afford better now, but I’m happy enough to keep what I’ve got.
I’m just a handy home owner, so it’s not like I’m abusing these things.
Yeah, rough day. Reading shitposts and laughing at all the other orgs that were down…it was a blast.
Healthcare. I’m in IT.
I recently moved. At the old house, I was close enough to walk, but generally I drove because I bought for a week at a time for a family of four. We only moved a few miles away, but pretty much every grocery store is about 3 miles away. I’m on the edge of a city of about 70k people.
