Netflix will show the already produced second season, but I’m not sure if they will order more seasons. Maybe if it wins an Emmy and view count is really high. Let’s hope so!

So that’s how it was made? I really liked the effect. After all this decades of Star Trek content and information I somehow never saw something about how the special effects were made. They were always quite convincing to me.

I do and did this with all my previous phones. Unfortunately, it comes with so many obstacles nowadays like non-working banking apps, that I’m unsure how the future of custom roms looks like. If I need to buy a new phone, I’ll pick one with good custom rom support and a cheap second one just for the banking stuff.

Exakt das Problem hatte ich neulich beim Friseur. Und das ist kein vorsteinzeitlicher Laden mit tatterigem Friseurmeister, sondern ein gut frequentierter Laden an belebter Stelle.

Zum Glück habe ich noch die EC-Karte (oder wie auch immer die jetzt amtlich heißen mag) dabei. Vorher habe ich nämlich bar bezahlt, aber war diesmal etwas knapp dran.

Macht es IMHO aber nicht besser, daß man in einer Großraumbüro-Situation arbeiten muß. Zu der dann noch dazu kommt, daß sich die Packungsdichte permanent erhört, weil ja die Tische auch ausgelastet werden sollen (Kollege krank/Urlaub/HO, und trotzdem sitzt da einer). Und dann ändert sich auch noch ständig die Nachbarschaft oder die Konfiguration. Dann sitzt immer einer der vieltelefonierenden Kollegen in der Nähe, man bekommt nie die ruhige Ecke sondern hockt am Gang wo ständig Bewegung ist und fühlt sich wie auf dem Präsentierteller.

Nichts, aber auch gar nichts an diesem Modell ist für die Arbeitnehmer vorteilhaft.

Weil es hier noch niemand erwähnt hat: Erzählt auch euren Verwandten und Bekannten davon!

Und wo ihr die Möglichkeit+Erlaubnis habt: stellt die Leute auf Firefox um. Bookmarks usw lassen sich importieren. Den meisten anderen Kram nutzen die meisten Leute eh nicht. Und installiert dabei auch gleich noch uBlock Origin als Werbeblocker.

Chrome kann ja erst mal installiert bleiben, sollte aber zur besseren Umgewöhnung weg vom Desktop oder gleich deinstalliert werden.

Das nützt in dem Fall nichts.

Zwar kann sich ein Firefox als Chrome ausgeben, aber trotzdem müßte er WEI unterstützen, damit die Seite korrekt überhaupt funktioniert. Tut Firefox das, hat Google gewonnen. Tut er es nicht, hat Google vermutlich trotzdem gewonnen, weil der User dann auf Chrome wechselt, weil Firefox ja “kaputt” ist. Oder der User hat verloren und verzichtet auf diese Webseite. Alles keine schönen Szenarien.

Fast richtig. Die Sonde verwendet einen Star Tracker, um sich auf die Sonne und zusätzlich einen weiteren hellen Stern (Canopus) auszurichten. Ist die passende Formation gefunden, ist die Position der Erde bekannt. Die Antenne selbst muß so präzise wie möglich auf die Erde ausgerichtet werden, ansonsten sind die Signale zu schwach.

Hab ich neulich mal ausprobiert. Leider geht bei mir das Overlay mit der Zeitleiste etc nicht weg.

Von der Nutzung her finde ich NewPipe und am FireTV-Stick SmartTubeNext am besten. Die offizielle App, auch mit den Revanced-Änderungen, ist irgendwie nervig. :D

Playback läuft auch im Hintergrund weiter.

Zum Glück nur eine Löwin. Hätten ja auch zwei Löwen sein können. Oder ein Dinosaurier.

Kasse oder Info-Schalter (wenn es sowas gibt). Und: die MÜSSEN die Dose zurücknehmen, also nicht abwimmeln lassen.

That’s good to see. :) What’s a good and reliable brand/model to look out for? I don’t trust many of those unknown (to me at least) manufacturers with the cheapest prices.

Lemmy.world is just the (only) pre-configured Lemmy instance. But you can add more yourself, e. g. your home instance where your main account lives.

You can add more instances, but don’t have need to sign up on each. Now the cool thing, that makes LiftOff special. You can switch to one of those instances and browse them to view only their local communities or all that are available on that instance. You don’t need an account for this, but you can’t vote or reply directly. However, Liftoff offers to switch to the copy of the same post/comment you’re viewing, that lives on your home instance, where you’re signed up, so you can vote or reply.

You could (but don’t have to) sign up on these other instances. Usually you pick an instance you like most to sign up, then browse the copies (= federation) of other instances that are on your home instances.

But LiftOff allows you to easily browse other instances directly (no copies), like some travel mode. Sign up on these other instances and you have a holiday home there. By this you can e. g. keep your personas separate from each other.

The switch feature is also very handy if you simply want to browse an instance that’s defederated (= no copies of posts/comments are shared) from your home instance.
