They can, but you are 7.5 times more likely to be murdered by a man.

There is no profit in securing customer data and there is no drawback for the company when data breaches occur. Without regulation, there will never be motivation for companies to give a shit.
They will apologize like Old navy does every few years for sweatshops, claim they really care and promise to improve (they won’t).
What the apology really means?
“Enjoy your free year of credit monitoring and fuck off.”
You answered your own argument with that link. How many female, Muslim heads of state are from the United States on that list? If you honestly think that 6 million Americans stayed home over Gaza you don’t have your finger on the pulse of America. Again, I’m sure votes were lost due to Gaza, but it isn’t the main reason why she lost.
It probably cost some votes, but those polls didn’t have the actual reasons people didn’t vote for Harris. That is: she is a woman and she isn’t white. It’s the hard truth but no poll is going to include “are you racist?” or “are you sexist?”
Also, anyone with even part of a brain knew that trump is going to make things a lot worse in Gaza than Harris.
Partially tore three quadriceps muscles and two calf muscles break dancing at an arcade bar when I was black out drunk. Just didn’t know when to quit until it was too late. Both my primary doctor and the person who did the MRI thought it was hilarious. To be fair, it was.
People may disagree with me, but in these cases where someone not only keeps child slaves but sexually and physically abused them should be doxxed and paraded through town. I know Germany has privacy laws against this and in the vast majority of cases this is a good thing. But in scenarios like this, there should be exceptions. These scumbags should be known by everyone and their faces should be shown everywhere.
I think you mean Lauren Boebert. Sarah Palin had a pregnant daughter who was 17 at the time. Same difference though.
Indeed! Good quote.
Let me try and find it.
That assumes all people on the planet though. 2 billion people are under 15 and 1 billion are over 65 though (https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/population-by-age-group). That leaves about 4.5 billion people. Taking marriage into account, in the US and the EU, roughly the number of people who are currently married that are adults is 40% (https://onlinemftprograms.com/worldwide-marriage-statistics/). If we assume that to be true worldwide, that reduces the number to about 2 billion. Therefore, if you are between 18-50 and assuming the number of people who find you attractive is 1%, the number of potential partners who think you are attractive is closer to 20,000,000. That also excludes people already in relationships who are not married. Still a lot of fish in the sea nonetheless.
Another post yesterday mentioned police coming to their house asking whether they used signal. Clearly something is happening here.
I can assure you that U.S. policymakers are not at all worried about climate change.
The wealthy are much better off though. If you looked at the wage increase of the top 1%, if has risen by $800,000 a year (https://www.commondreams.org/news/2019/12/09/staggering-new-data-shows-income-top-1-has-grown-100-times-faster-bottom-50-1970) since 1970.
So capitalism is working exactly the way it is supposed to. Exploiting the middle and lower classes for the rich. This is exactly the progress they want.
Didn’t even think about that. That is a bummer, but a lot cheaper nonetheless.
I’m not much of a movie theater person. It has to be something special for me to go see a movie. I’ve never seen a movie more than once in a theater. This will be a movie that I will go see at least three times.
I think it comes down to how you learn. I’ve found programming books useful because I tend to learn quickly from books. I know others do not. Regardless, if I’m reading a programming book, it is usually nearby a computer where I can try stuff out. At the end of the day, the time at the keyboard will be time well spent when learning a language.
Big trouble in little China.
