Furthermore Kagi can create a summary of all results by clicking “quick answer” link in the results. Very useful to get an overview and see if the query is what I was looking for. Lastly they will introduce reportedly introduce “assistants” later in Jan… don’t have any experience with it but looks like LLMs interacting w search results

Have heard that searching domains through the site can cause the domain to become unavailable or prices to go up briefly afterwards… kind of like how go daddy also has a reputation for doing that. Anecdotal and second stories for sure but something to be aware of if there is any credence to it…

Out of curiosity, I’ve heard that emails being undelivered is a huge problem with self hosting as well since it gets flagged as spam. Is this something you’ve frequently encountered?

Honestly email is the last frontier in privacy I haven’t been able to reform in my life… can’t self host since it’s a lot of work and trouble. And you gotta trust that companies will do the right thing with your data

Every time I’ve slept on a futon has been a bad idea. Especially the ones that have been a ‘couch’. The indentations in the material from that are annoying. More so when there are cratered patches. Overall would not recommend. But maybe I wasn’t sleeping on the right futons…
