Man I’m sick of all these card-style video games recently. They just feel lazy from a player standpoint. But I’m also more into action-y, RPG-like games anyway so maybe it’s just my taste, but it really seems like people are pumping these kinds of games out because they’re relatively easy to make.

This is the reality everyone on Lemmy, and even reddit, needs to face. We’re a minority of a minority of people. All the people who glaze and go nonstop about Linux? That’s not even half of Lemmy users, and you can find someone like that in just about every thread on Lemmy, regardless of context.

We’re such a miniscule group of people we probably wouldn’t even register on studies about social behavior.

I haven’t even heard or seen anyone mention RDR2 in at least a year.

That one guy who makes daily posts about the games he’s playing made a post like last week about him playing Undead Nightmare from the first one, but that’s it.

Basically the Mantella mod for Skyrim then? Which, if I’m being honest with myself, is a massive leap forward for procedural games in the future.

I mean just imagine walking around town and literally having a real conversation about current goings-on in the game world with an NPC, like they’re a fully realized person within that world.

Getting back into Schedule 1 after a few months, it’s still fun and decently chill to just be a drug dealer for wacky cartoon drug addicts.

I have almost all the properties - all I’m missing is the docks warehouse - I have all possible customers, I’m almost done taking out the rival drug cartel in the game, and I’m still only based out of the barn. I also finally got around to hiring my first few employees so I don’t have to constantly be mixing up new shit to sell or give to my dealers. I’m excited to see what else they add to the game (it’s still in EA).

After I’m done with that, I’ll probably jump back into Abiotic Factor and try to finish the story of that one.

I’d just like to respond with my opinion: hell fucking no. The movies make their insides look absolutely disgusting, like they’re all intestines and no meat. You couldn’t pay me enough to try a taste of any piece of one of those things.

Goddamn I need to jump back into this. I remember playing a bit of TR a couple years ago, but that was before the last couple expansions, like Narsis.

It’s like an Elder Scrolls nerd’s wet dream come true imo. Being able to explore every nook and cranny of the mainland Morrowind gives me a tingly feeling I can’t fully describe.
