Relatively normal
Silence, white westerner. I only want to hear takes from Real Chinese Communists.
Trump is president and this is their priority?
That’s the point.
I can accept that the Western version of the events are exaggerated. I can accept that the US has done worse things to it’s own citizens. I can accept the protestors had poor motives.
I am begging the CPC to propagandize to me, so that I can become even more pro-China.
I tried. I couldn’t find anything.
Sorry, but I want to hear it from a real Chinese communist, not a western YouTuber. Find me a BiliBili (or Douyin or Rednote) video on the topic.
What do you mean it didn’t occur? Something obviously happened, and it’s only a question of whether my government’s version of the events is true.
My entire RedNote feed Americans whether it’s true that George Orwell books are banned in China (they’re not), and Chinese asking whether it’s true that American schools have shooter drills. Of course I’d like to ask them about the first thing most Americans think of when they hear the word “China.” Unfortunately, I can’t, and I’m stuck with only one version of the events (and I’m not going to rely on Western Hexbear users to get the other version).
That’s not the issue. The issue is that it’s impossible to even have a nuanced and honest conversation about it because any hint about it gets automatically removed.
Congratulations
I hope it dies faster!
Is Threads even a good enough product for users to be willing to endure ads?
You’re perfectly free to go on Lemmy instances that don’t have that as a rule.
I’m glad to hear
I just added it as a rule for the communities I moderate. I also set my Bluesky feeds to filter out X links.
@dessalines@lemmy.ml please consider this.

Lemmy instances should follow suit.
According to fedidb.org, Lemmy has plateaued at around 43k active users over the past year.
If you ask me, though, it doesn’t matter. The Lemmy ecosystem is active and healthy.
I don’t know. I’m just making rough estimates. Suffice it to say that that the lemmy.ml admins do not have any power over the vast majority of lemmy users.
One out of the top ten when sorting by MAU. That community is !memes@lemmy.ml.
Say what you will about the Lemmy devs and their political leanings, but they did a great job at ensuring the broader Lemmy community would not centralize onto their instance.
