I’ve been keeping up with feeds to make sure my wife rests and recovers from the c-section. Thankfully MIL has been taking care of most of the house work.

My little man is three weeks old and I just want to enjoy hanging out with him but my mother in law is staying with us and will not shut the fuck up about trump/musk. I have to remind her every three days that I do not want to remember her complaining when I think about my child’s birth.

In other news I have trained myself to wake up every 3 hours to feed him overnight without an alarm.

FWIW I don’t believe you are wrong. Most people advocating for/ fantasizing about violence have never experienced prolonged conflict. Sure, you’re hot shit the first day or two but even if the fighting stays a few hundred miles away, it becomes exhausting and sickening. Especially if you have a family to worry about.

All of this said, it is not the only reason to own a gun. Many own weapons for the purpose of self defense — whether that be from other people or wildlife. We own guns because we are afraid — justifiably or not.

Not necessarily but basing an idealogy in fantasy (as he talks about the emperor being god in gladiator) neglects reality. Anger and whatever sense of righteousness you subscribe to should be based firmly in reality, otherwise you’ll find you are acting on nothing but hypotheticals.

I am skeptical given we have samples of his writing and that and that this has been circulated as his manifesto. Authorities have stated the manifesto is 262 words, handwritten (likely not copied digitally), and we have a quote from it stating he was working alone. This is in the area of 1500 words, reads like crap, does not include the quote, and does not account for the means of his family.

Even if this isn’t the manifesto, his family had money, this reads like it was written by a high schooler, and it was posted yesterday.
