I think you have no clue how dangerous that waste is. There is literally no way to store it in a volume like you described because of all the heat it generates. If it gets distributed for some reason, it could contaminate the entire planet.

Also, other nuclear waste is not not dangerous. You have to store it in a way that it doesn’t pollute water, for example. That is a much harder problem than you might think. Here is an interesting read for you:

Ich bin, was den Preis betrifft, so ein bisschen zwiegespalten. Das ist natürlich eine Mischkalkulation mit dem Fahrpreis - wird die Reservierung günstiger, steigen die Fahrpreise (das sieht man ja auch an den Preissteigerungen, die im Vergleich zur Gesamtwirtschaft genannt werden: hier hat sich also insgesamt vor allem die Gewichtung verschoben). Die Frage ist also: möchten wir es den Herrschaften, die auf einen bestimmten Platz bestehen, möglichst teuer machen und andere, denen das nicht so wichtig ist und die lieber etwas sparen, dafür entlasten, oder wollen wir dass alle mehr zahlen, damit das Reservieren billiger ist. Ich finde das aktuelle Modell da ehrlich gesagt gar nicht soo schlecht, weil es das Bahnfahren insgesamt erschwinglicher macht. Eine Reservierung direkt an das Ticket zu koppeln wird mit der Existenz von Flextickets wahrscheinlich auch nicht unbedingt einfacher…

Also erstens prüfen die das ja im Normalfall noch mal und ändern es ggf., zweitens ist es völlig normal dass politisch in Teams gearbeitet wird und das ist auch gut so. Eine Person alleine könnte das überhaupt nicht in der geforderten Qualität und Quantität stemmen.

Ok I just compared it to the cargo bikes that delivery services use here in Germany, from the first look I thought they were about the same size - and they use bike lanes and are allowed to drive in pedestrian zones, etc. However, comparing them side by side I think the amazon vehicle is in fact a lot larger and probably too big to use a bike lane. In that case, it doesn’t make a lot of sense, yeah. Not sure though if it’s really that unsafe if it can only go 25km/h.

Ok but you have to somehow transport a lot of parcels, right? You need a certain size for that. There is barely any additional volume other than storage space and driver space, so this is about as small as it gets?

As someone watching their diet right now: finally, accurate macro tracking. At least if they manage to do some sort of sensor fusion with the camera.

Also, I don’t think the crash is going to be what people here seem to expect. It’s not like AI is going to die and just go away. The hype will just slow down and some companies will probably die. But its not like the technology will vanish and the hardware will be useless. Datacenters will still be used.
