I did have backups, it was an easy fix. I had a pihole -up
on a crontab for years, probably not the best idea :)
FW rule accept :53 from pihole only, deny :53 from all. I had some devices with hardcored DNS settings (8.8.8.8).

Pihole 6 broke my DNS (dnsmasq), and since I had a fw rule in opnsense to only use pihole’s DNS, and deny public DNS access, it was an early rise for me :)
Why not just use forgejo’s actions and runner?
🤔 is it too much broth? genuinely asking, i’m learning to cook from the internet, via trial and error :) the bowl is a decent size, so no one complained. plus, there was more in the pot :)
I did nazi that one coming…
I bought it cured (it said Bauchspeck on the label) and went in the oven under the top grill at 200°C for about 20m on each side. It’s just a bit crunchy (skin and meaty ends), very chewy, quite salty and with a hint of smoke. It’s delicious. It’s not cooked with the broth, just assembled at the end.
oh? what’s off? too much of something?
it’s a farm cat, we live in the countryside.
They’ve owned it since 2011. When they did buy it, they had Lync, which sucked pretty bad. Now they have Teams, probably the result of merging Lync and Skype.
I use lidarr + jellyfin + symfonium (android), and that works for me. I mainly listen to full albums, and don’t play around with playlists or recommendations though. I get flac quality and lyrics, remote access to my home-lab via VPN (no offline sync), Android Auto support…
Bringing some home too, as gifts, because we humans can’t hunt. Last time it was still alive, and my cat was proudly watching me trying to catch the little critter from a counter. I could hear him: you can do it, human! you’re welcome!
Most of the time they are dead, though, heads or spines missing. When I hear my wife screaming at 5am I know there’s another partial mouse in front of the main door.
I never received any kind of talk from my parents. Also, in my home country, during the communist era and even after, sex ed in schools was taboo. Crazy thing too, since it had (and still has) one of the highest teen pregnancy numbers in Europe.
Anyway, I did not want that with my kids. Luckily where we live now there is a strong sex ed program in schools, but also at home, we were always open. We talk about sex casually, we reiterate “always ask for consent” and “no means no”, and my son even ratted out one of his school buddies who’s a Tate fan. He knew that what the guy was saying was wrong, so they don’t hang out anymore.
Also, sexuality. One of my daughters came out to us over dinner, so casually, “dad, I think I’m gay”. I just said “cool” and gave an awkward fist bump.
Just be open, casual, don’t make things weird.
First time I heard of Gitee, I don’t think it’s that popular. Also, their website appears to be in Chinese only.
Gitea on the other hand is pretty popular, but after some controversial decisions, Forgejo was born and it started getting a lot of traction.
Nope, I had no school option, and no lake or river around home where I could learn. I went with my parents to the seaside a few days every year, but my dad didn’t teach me. When I had kids of my own, it was on the “must” list: teach to ride bike, make sure they can swim.
Yeah, it got kinda messy. My kids were smarter than me so they added sauces as they went :)
Thanks, to be honest, I’ve never had either IRL 🤦
I listen to the Diablo 2 & 3 or Skyrim OST when reading.
I think the spices make a huge difference. Especially their freshness. My wife manages an expat community here in Germany, and we sometimes have culinary exchanges. Some people join these events just to eat, I join to cook and learn :) we cooked so far Indian, Afghan, Turkish, German, Romanian.
I can’t think of anything else tbh, I mean curry & rice & naan work beautifully, I don’t want to break the balance :)
That’s exactly where I got it :)
