My library is roughly 40TB in size. I think the main issue is just the shear amount of files to parse when it comes to my music library.
I did add a meilisearch and that did help a lot, but still slow enough to find it cumbersome

I have it set up right along Plex but find it nearly unusable because the search is atrociously slow. Like 1+ min to query my library. The day that gets fixed is the day I’ll start using it.
I definitely feel that! I bought it knowing that I will have to do all my own maintenance and repairs, which is terrifying but doable. I had to promise myself that if it ever gets wrecked, I’ll have to restore it at any cost, because there simply aren’t that many left out there.
I needed a new vehicle this year and knew I wanted a small truck to help with my forever ongoing home renovation needs. A Ranger was definitely what I was targeting before ultimately falling in love with an 88 Jeep Comanche long bed. Perfect size truck that looks Comically small when parked next to any modern day truck

I’ve not experienced that. I usually rely on a single offline playlist on shuffle whenever I do lose internet, but that has been the status quo for me for some time

I use Plexamp and the smart playlists are pretty great on that.

Could lead to allowing alternative app repositories outside of just the App Store to keep Apple from gate keeping

Well this policy change is likely going to be US only.
Epic no longer has to pay apple 30% in the US, but they would like it to be that way across the world.
What Epic is proposing is if Apple makes the policy change for the whole world, they’ll stop suing them over their obvious anti competitive practices. Doing so would avoid the risk of them losing future court cases and losing more of a grip that they have over their platform.
I don’t think Apple will go for it, so here’s hoping they lose more down the line.

Like what? And is that a common use case?
Furniture is what comes to mind
Or just put down a nylon sheet, put the dirt on top, fold the nylon sheet over it and bind it down. … Buy a bus with removable carpet, then you can just hose it down as well.
Sure, you could do that, or you could use the right vehicle for the job.
There are many different rear door types and sliding side doors on the side that provide ample and easy access. This isn’t difficult or complicated.
Until you want a pallet of something. Would be nice if that van had a removable roof so they could just drop it in there 😉
What it comes down to is that trucks are versatile and people like them for it. If you don’t see utility in having open access, then that’s fine, but a lot of people do.

With the motors and battery being on the backend of the truck, wouldn’t that give you better traction on the back wheels over the front wheels?

You can get it equipped with tie bars, or hooks that attach to the linear mounts lining the inside

I think there is an option to upgrade the battery to have a 240mi range

Space Truckers (1999)
A comedy about truckers…in space.
It stars Dennis Hopper, Debi Mazar, and Charles Dance.
It’s a tight 90min and a pretty good time. I’m not sure how I had never heard of it before.
Edit: whoops…realized I was in a horror sub after posting

I had one of these for years, it grows like crazy if it’s given the space. The branches will get tall and start to droop, then new branches will sprout in to fill in the new overhead space. Otherwise lots of trimming and pruning will expand it also.

I read this as “Command and Conquer in HTML” as I was scrolling past and got super curious before rereading and getting disappointed

I think that is what made that battle system interesting: More focus on delegation over micro management.
The main portion of the battle played outside of the battles themselves and was all about how you essentially “programmed” these workflows for each character to work in harmony together to win battles. You could get in the fray to fix any unintended outcomes of these flows, but was mainly to observe the outcomes and make adjustments.

Oh I have friends and family littered all over the country that I keep in regular contact with. We will do watch parties for series as new episodes air, or just decide to watch something together on a whim.
If it’s just me and one other person, we may hop on a video call and talk about it as it plays.
It’s just kind of nice having everyone be on the same page.
Yeah, I have that set up too and searching on that is very quick and responsive. I still end up just using Plexamp because I like the automatic playlists and radios. I’m sure there are ways to add those into navidrome, but haven’t explored it very far
