That is the definition of “lame duck” status. The implication is that now that GOP congressmen have successfully rejected a major Trump demand without any negative consequences at all, its going to be much easier to do this in the future. It doesn’t mean that every Trump request will be denied, just that Trump’s bullying should be much less effective now. Not only does Traitorapist not have unlimited powers, even his own party is rejecting him now.

Lawrence O’Donnell regularly delivers devastating critiques on Trump, his incompetent flunkies, and the embarrassing failure of the media such as the New York Times and white house press corps to cover him competently. He often compares today’s events with how things worked in the past to show just how badly things have become fucked up today.
