I’m not sure what field you’re in and photoshop certainly is the standard but Affinity has been great for my needs and is pay once if you’re looking to avoid SAAS

On the support side, there are enterprise distros (red hat) but the community support honestly is top notch. I know windows has support but I’ve never really needed it day-to-day or had a situation where having access to support on Linux really would have been helpful.
Development side - I find Linux outpaces windows for what I do, plus a number of tools are just built in. Plus Jetbrains IDEs are Java anyway and run fine there.
Browsing, i assume you mean the web? This is functionally identical.
I personally like Linux cause it’s tracker-free and more customizable. I prefer ZSH to power shell and I like that my desktop and server are running the same platform preventing strange bugs between environments.
I have this problem quite often, specifically I’ll frequently decide I won’t like something before I even try it, even if historically I’ve had enjoyment from it.
Often I just force myself to start, sometimes that’s setting a line in the sand “I’m going to watch YouTube until 15:00 and then we’re going to do X” other times is physically forcing myself (setting alarms, sleep timers, etc…)
I don’t really have a magic bullet unfortunately beyond “Just do it” but honestly getting over the hump is 99% of the problem.
That’s just cause of acidity, I’ve made sauces in mine and it’s been fine.
Absolutely excessive but it appears they at least used it mostly correctly to emphasize key areas.
oh absolutely, this is purely a thought experiment of course.
Just thinking at a high level, an infinite number of monkies should hypothetically almost instantly produce Shakespeare (or at least as quickly as they can type)
Conversely, 1 monkey would eventually produce it given infinity time.
I watched a show talking about adrenalin and injecting it into the heart, the doctor was saying how it would be the worst place to try and go first because damage but also because you’d be more likely to hit a rib or puncture a lung then actually make it through the heart.
I was curious so found the story https://www.newschannel10.com/2024/09/26/tulia-family-displaced-after-home-suffers-substantial-damage-storm/
“may see the ‘homo’ side and think it has something to do with gay sex.”
Better not let him see assume, class, bass (ironically a homophone) or many other words with such scandalous suffixes lol
For me the only time is when it’s a subscription and I want to be able to cancel it easily especially for trials, since PayPal (to a degree) simplifies this
Bring your hate and downvotes. There will be 2 or 3 that understand the situation better than I, and I’m sure that will come and try to educate me.
So if you know this is the case, why would you not just do that research?
I understand the cost of living is very high, but there are numerous factors that play into that and specifically to the example of eggs the war in Ukraine wouldn’t affect that supply chain in a significant way, and the aid also shouldn’t impact it.
Providing aid, beyond preventing the war from being lost, potentially embolding Russia to continue advancing, is simply the right thing to do. Obviously Western nations have the privilege of being at peace, but that doesn’t mean we should blindly turn our backs to the many countries who make our current situation possible through numerous imports and trade.
At the end of the day, you’re entitled to be frustrated by the rising costs of living, and you’re welcome to be angry about the war, but the way you worded your post feels more like willful ignorance than any real attempt to formally become educated.
I think a lot of times this is driven by someone cutting themselves and creating a pile Of paperwork and costing money. Worked for a fast food chain and we had to use a chainmail glove to use a knife for the same reason.
It’s a small thing, but for me it’s refusing to support them as much as I can. I don’t use Disney+ and try not to buy merchandise from their IPs. Admittedly this is both difficult since they own so. many. things. while also being a drop in the bucket for such a large company, but if enough folks feel the same, it can move the needle a small amount.
I also shared this message out on all my platforms (that of their shady practices) which influenced at least a few people to say they were distancing themselves from the mouse.
Ultimately though, corporations will always do what is best for their shareholders, and in this case, that means doing anything possible not to pay out, PR nightmare be damned. Meaningful legislation is really the only thing that puts guard rails on this behaviour, so my last recommendation really comes down to being vocal with your representatives that these things matter and voting accordingly. I recognize again this is a small thing but on-mass action like this is how change happens.
My two cents at least.
While true, most clip is are quarts oscillators These days so would die also. That said, love me a mechanical clock and have a skeleton watch I daily drive.
I mean that’s just Firefox :p
I tend to avoid the large corps where I can (Amazon, Walmart) recently moved to buying what I can from farmers markets and honestly having someone remember you and be proud of their product is a game changer, and tastes better too.
So yeah absolutely boycotting em
Double equals means equals, triple equals means strict equality including type.
Prevents a Boolean true being evaluated to 1 for example
In Ontario / Canada it’s pretty much that. G1 - written test split between signs and road laws but you can only drive with another licensed driver of 5 years experience or more and can’t drive highways
G2 - driving test, low speed no highway. You do basic driving procedures (reverse, parallel, 3 point turn) I imagine doing a roundabout depends on where you live, but where I am they’re not close by so it’s not included.
G - same as above and then you boot down the highway for an exit.
TBH, passing is not hard in the slightest. And that’s improved from what used to be the 365 - you do a test get a license, drive for a year and do a road test after.
