I work in municipal development and permitting.

Texas has had a HUGE surge in solar panel and backup generator installation over the past 4 years.

But the power companies have taken notice. The biggest part of a lot of power bills now isn’t usage, but fees for being connected to the grid at all. And connection to the grid is required for a Certificate of Occupancy if you’re in a city, and to get insurance or a mortgage even if you’re in the county where permits aren’t required.

You can’t even create a legal lot in Texas without having electrical service to the lot.

We need a place to communicate, coordinate, and share what’s happening. Control of the narrative and the ability to prevent coordinated responses are essential for their plans.

They blocked piracy for like a day over a year ago and then unblocked it when the users were clearly against it.

Hexbear being blocked is a good thing and overwhelmingly supported by the users.

Don’t forget getting the interview.

I’ve got the right column on lock. I’ve never had an interview that wasn’t followed by an offer. But I was still stuck in a dead-end job for years trying to get an interview.

Once I finally got an interview adjacent to my field, I was promoted within 6 months, then poached by another organization a year after that and had quadrupled my income in under 2 years.

But it took forever to get that process started.

When they wipe out whoever the majority hates, diversity in racism means there will be new groups hated by the majority that can be wiped out. And then another group the majority hates.

Turn everyone against everyone else, and everyone becomes disposable.

Dems won the election last time they did that.

But at least that’s honest. They’re saying, “This is the real product” instead of “The real product is coming later if you give us money now.”

2026 could be a great year for the Dems in the Senate. The Republicans currently hold 22 of the 33 seats up for election. Depending on how much Trump fucks the economy, it’s mathematically possible for the Dems to hold 67 Senate seats in 2027.

That’s enough to simultaneously impeach and remove Trump and Vance and elevate a Democratic Speaker of the House to the Presidency.

The odds of it happening are almost zero. They won’t win all 33 elections - but they could conceivably get to 60 seats - enough to block GOP fillibusters. They managed it in 2008, and that’s the same Senate cycle up for election in 2026.

Because they’re gonna replace it with “End Fascism”, right?

That’s what I said. Prialvate sellers are not dealers, and private sales don’t have to be performed at gun shows.

And there are still legal requirements. For instance, it’s illegal to sell or gift a person a pistol if they live in a different state.withput going to a dealer and transferring it through them with a background check. You also cannot sell or give away a firearm that isn’t legal in the state in which the transfer is taking place or in the state of legal residence of the person taking ownership of the firearm.

When I was in firearm sales, we had spreadsheets for every gun in our inventory listing the states of residence in which it could be legally sold.

Additionally, you have to follow the transfer regulations of both states. So if someone from New Jersey wanted to buy a hunting rifle from the store where I worked, we had to run a New Jersey background check, fill out New Jersey paperwork, and review their New Jersey firearms license. If there was a waiting period in their state, we had to honor it.

If private sales are banned (NICS check requirements are private sales bans because civilians don’t have access to NICS) in someone’s home state, buying it privately in a different state is a crime.

Fun additional fact: In Texas we also had to report to the feds anytime someone purchased more than one semi-auto centerfire rifle of 22 caliber or greater in a 5-day period, or more than 1 handgun in a 5-day period. That’s a regulation only in effect in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
