Liberals will call one party states undemocratic and authoritarian, but get upset when you don’t vote for Democrats because they’re “the only ones capable of defeating fascism” and everyone else is a distraction or op. The right’s obsession with guns and insurgency against the government comes from the fact that they support all these oppressive measures abroad and domestically. They are afraid of the boomerang coming back home but don’t know what to do in that situation outside of vague ideas of resistance. They believe the Taliban and Vietnamese soldiers were just “poor farmers in sandals,” scoff at the fact the US got defeated by them, and still cite Afghanistan and Vietnam as reasons why they (the lone wolf) can take on the government.
