I’m on fosstodon

Open source should not be about making money. If you start an open source project with the idea that some time in the future you’ll make money, then it’s already a lost cause. I’m with Stallman on this, even though I despise him as a person.

Well, sorry to be rude, but most people should try a bit more to not be stupid and spoonfed all the time.

Mastodon is not a company. They don’t need to do anything to bring attention to them. Mastodon is not one thing, it’s more things that do everything by federating.
Comparing mastodon with bluesky is one of the problems people face when trying to “go social”. From my point of view it’s pretty simple: if you want to “be guided”, to be given ideas and “friends” you go with bluesky; if you want to invest some time and find people you like and get and share ideas, then go with mastodon/piefed/gosocial and any other fediverse service. But make sure you understand that you are the one creating your own network, not a company through an algorithm.

Give keyd a try. It works great for me.

I have a lot of music using umlaut and all other kinds of accented characters, even Japanese characters, and never had issues with them. Try symfonium client and see it you have the issue. I’ll check tempus with my server to see it there’s anything wrong.
It happens to the best of us. Don’t fret.
Get to the web interface and use ‘Forgot password’ to reset yours.

Only in America.

I had Samsungs for a very long time… I remember being able to increase/decrease the flashlight level on my S7.

fuck this shit!

What is the problem with their docker implementation? I use it for more than one year and had no issues yet.

I keep seeing voidauth and want to try it, but then I get to their disclaimer and I give up:
I am not a security expert! Please do not use VoidAuth for any purpose that is security critical or high risk. VoidAuth has not been audited and uses 3rd party packages for much of its functionality.

They are making it into WordPad… It’s called recycling ideas.

Here’s my config for Authelia, maybe it helps:
- domain: music.server.home
policy: bypass
resources:
- '^/rest.*'
- '^/api.*'
- domain: music.server.home
policy: one_factor

I don’t understand your “problem”. If you have your domain it’s pretty painless to switch providers. You export your mail, import it to your new provider, then change DNS records and you’re good to go.
Maybe I misunderstand?

I worked in IBM while the split was happening and when they announced the name of the new company we were all like “say whaaaa???” … their explanation was that it’s coming from kin and tendril… bla bla corporate shit.

Kyndryl was split from IBM. It’s an american company.

Jellyfin works without any issues with Android TV. I have an nVidia Shield and the simple remote does everything I need.
I bought a Unihertz for my wife three years ago. She never got any OS update! Only some security patches in the beginning and that was it. It’s not worth it.
