Why not bazzite? It’s just kinoite with some extra stuff installed, some of which is very nice (patent things that make twitch work for example)

I don’t see why anybody cares how long it takes, you can use x.org still, the point of wayland is to create something excellent from the ground up to replace x.org, not to create a product as quickly as possible. X still works, use it. If wayland doesn’t meet your needs yet, wayland will eventually meet your needs.

Except it’s a nonsense point, x.org working is precisely why there was no reason to rush it out. They made an EXCELLENT implementation rather than the MVP that x.org is.

Daily use, however? Really? I have a completely ad-free easy to use experience, I actually give KDE to the elderly because it’s significantly easier to use for daily use outside of gaming.

Most peoples usecases are limited and linux is legitimately just better for that, having ads in your start menu and file manager are terrible for people who don’t know what they’re doing.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t allow you to manually override things, i hope this gets added later, i’d like to be able to forward shortcuts to apps for push to talk even if the app doesn’t support the native portal

Plasma uses wayland, wayland was much much more problematic with nvidia until very recently, if you try the latest plasma, most of those issues will likely be gone
