You’re missing my point. The point is that non-human animals have the same capacity as humans to feel pain and suffer. There is no meaningful difference between a dog and a pig and a chicken and a human when it comes to that.
It doesn’t matter what the average person believes. The average person is a hypocrite and a non-human animal abuser.
I do animal rights activism /outreach every other week and we show people what other animals go through just so y’all can have a burger or drink some milk.
You know what I ask people every time? “Do you think this is animal abuse?” Every single one answers yes. Then I ask “would you say you are against animal abuse?” Again yes.
Lastly I ask “do you think it’s possible to be against animal abuse while consuming meat dairy or eggs?”
Every single one of them is a hypocrite, and the purpose of the outreach is to hold them accountable to their own morals and point out their hypocrisy in hopes of them stopping their animal abuse.
Just like here. People say they are against a dog being harmed when there is no difference between a dog and a the pig. But the pig is forced to be in a gas chamber for their taste pleasure.

You.
