Is it actually see through? The “transparent” filament I’ve used in the past is always pretty opaque.
The last time this showed up people pointed out that big Mac’s cost more like $1.50 in 1980. Still multiple BMs per hour but not as drastic.
47·3 days agoA little googling and I’ve come up with that the name of the woman is Eve Astrid Andersson (now a director at Google) and this was essentially a series of photos taken at her work at the time as a joke.
She was pretty far from being racist, which is why she was shocked that they called it that. Again she was on a study abroad and went to a party, these weren’t people she like regularly hung out with. Also another commenter confirmed that that was a common name for that game a while back.
Based on what an ex girlfriend told me after her study abroad in Sweden, the N word (at least back in the early 2010s) just isn’t considered as offensive there. She remembers being at a party where they played some kind of “secret spy” game they’d dubbed “n——r president” and being shocked about it

4·9 days agoThe downvotes on my comment made me double check and I’m slightly misinformed. You can direct where your property taxes go, but property taxes only make up a third of our education budget. Time to get those pitchforks back out.

A lot of those lease programs also re-lease used stock. Also yes, often you can buy previously leased machines second hand from them.

3·17 days agoRight but the carbon capture uses more power to capture the co2 than the power plant uses to produce it. So if you replaced said power plant with renewable energy instead of using three times as much to capture the carbon from the original plant, it would net the same result.
Essentially carbon capture makes no sense until you’re at the point that carbon capture requires less energy to capture carbon than to produce it
Seems like they could fix this by literally asking the AI if it’s AI response made any sense
