I generally eat vegetarian food at home, and do need to keep an eye on my protein quantities quite often - but even so, I do feel a little like the “cheeseburger pizza” with “PROTEIN!” written all over it in the “health food” section was stretching definitions a little bit :)

Yeah, in one of the “frozen food shops” near me, I can get 4 chocolate-covered flapjacks for £1 - they’re about 500 calories each, so I can get 1,000 calories for about 50p, if I need to.

This is brilliant. If this was genuinely part of their advertising, I’d probably start eating it, to protect my family from his tyranny :D

In English, “biro” is the generic name for what is known elsewhere as a “ball-point” or “ball pen”. There may of course still be a “Biro” company somewhere, separate to that.

[Edit] I mean English as in “language spoken in England” - I’m sure some of the other “Englishes” use a different word.

I think actual Bic-from-the-Bic-Company biros tend to be pretty good (especially the orange ones with black lids).

For a truly scratchy experience, you need a cheap, unbranded biro.

I guess it’s very much a matter of taste.

Ten years or so earlier, you could still get a TV where the sides of the case were made of wood. Wood, metal and black plastic throughout. Physical buttons that went ‘clunk’, a physical slider to adjust the volume, a metal dial for tuning.

To me, that was peak design.

Regardless, there’s normally quite a bit of video work available across the M62 corridor (I used to do a lot of freelance video work for many years, and still do occasionally), you shouldn’t need to suffer the horrors of going “Down South”.

I suspect that whoever they sell it to is going to carry on doing exactly the same thing. I’m sure part of the appeal in the sale is all of those “captive audience” shops in train stations etc.

I’ve got quite a lot of racing games - though I tend to only use the Steam Deck for the 3rd person arcade-like fun ones. I prefer realistic sims on a wheel & pedals setup.

Anyway, there’s probably some repeats on here, but these are all ones I have played on Steam Deck and felt worked well.
