Any time! What’s your handle, I can follow you. :)
I also found about this today, maybe it’s useful: https://fediverse.info/explore/people
I mean, if you follow the right people you’ll get exposed to the right ideas. Most of the people I follow will not be posting about their kids or their brunch, but about cool articles or things they learned. Or am I missing something?
It’s definitely work in progress. But it has also grown a lot, and you will have no issues finding good content there. Hashtags and “people that the people you follow follow” are a good start. Also, at the end of my post you’ll find some seed suggestions. :)
OK. Added the link to fedi.tips. Thanks again!
Awesome! I’ll update my post, thanks for this tip! What’s the best way to credit you?
Ghost has a clear path for this. I’m keeping a close eye, pretty respectable work for such a big player. Excited to integrate this on a friend’s website soon, self-hosted version.
Ghost seem to be very receptive to feedback, as they post on the progress of their ActivityPub development. This is good feedback, send it their way!
This is more fun?
Hey! Somehow when I pasted the screenshot for this post, the link was lost. I added it as a comment.
Hmmm,… I had to Kagi search for Lutris. Looks cool. This here is a simple launcher app named Cartridges, all it does is launch games. In my case, Steam games. :)
This is the actual link to the list of apps: https://fredrocha.net/2025/02/28/ubuntu-gnome-apps-i-use/
I’ve used Ubuntu for a long while, it’s just a first-class environment for development. So, good luck!
You’d be surprised, man. Of course you’d have to give up on some things, but it’s trivial stuff compared to what you gain in return. I personally was always very turned off by the way Apple likes to lock down all their stuff to their own ecosystem. I like to own my data and have the freedom to tweak my environments and what runs on my hardware. I also realize this is a plus for many people, just giving their soul away to Apple.
Yeah, indeed the top bar is amiss, because this is my secondary screen. But like I say in the post, a did very few tweaks until I go this sexy look. Ubuntu’s default looks and feels great ATM.
Why not? I feel we need the anti-post here. :)
Connected! See you in the Fediverse. :)
