Und weil absehbar ist, was das für backlash in u a Gesundheit, Gewalt und Kriminalität gibt, MUSS man ja geradezu demnach dann nachjustieren mit noch mehr Staatsgewalt und das wird wieder vernünftigerweise Gegner hervorbringen, die nach Bedarf wieder als radikal einsortiert werden um rechtlich gegen sie vorgehen zu können, nicht zu verwechseln mit Faschismus, das scheint ja immer ein Einzelfall und so kann man das aber nicht sagen Fall zu sein. Bleibt nur zu sagen: und das Perpetuum mobile existiert eben doch.

The coronavirus pandemic showed us that global survival is possible with significantly lower CO2 emissions; that was an extreme case, of course, but finding a middle ground between that and the extreme we call “normal life” is absolutely feasible and achievable.

Ja und ich bin überzeugt, dass das deutlich anders wäre(ganz ohne wirds wohl nie gehen), würde nur endlich Politik für Masse nicht Klasse gemacht werden. Wem es nicht am Grundlegendsten fehlt, der ist in einer ganz anderen Ausgangsposition auf Populismus zu reagieren als jemand der permanent auf Kante genäht ist. Ganz zu schweigen vom mentalen Effekt, einige auf der Welt treiben was sie wollen und alle müssen dafür zahlen, das macht hilflos und wütend und leider auch manche trotzig-reaktiv.

Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine, just for a moment, that we all simply stopped playing along globally—that the colorful paper money was no longer accepted anywhere, and people helped and provided for one another, while the super-rich and all the other drivers of right-wing parties were valued solely for their actual skills. Oh, what fun that would be. They would lose all their power in an instant. It’s utopian, sure—but I would have said the same thing about current global politics just a few years ago.

And guess what’s next for right-wing leaders :( (And yes, I see the irony regarding today’s politicians.)

Man denkt ja eine lange Zeit im Leben, ach das verwächst sich noch, doch ehe man es sich versieht ist man bei, na das stirbt ja bald. Keine Ahnung wie ich jetzt darauf komme.

Teenager die keine Mütter werden und zumindest das Ende der eigenen Pubertät mit Mitte 20 erstmal erleben, bevor Raubtierkapitalismus, Zukunftsängste, Klimawandel und freier Wille gegen körperverändernde und lebenslange Verpflichtung des Mutter seins gar keine Rolle spielen also. Na das ja mal ein löblicher Nebeneffekt des Smartphones.

Wie eifrig mancher am eigenen Ast sägen kann, verlangt einem dann doch größten Respekt ab und es wird in Fachkreisen gemunkelt, es könnte den Bewusstseinstheorien zu neuen Erkenntnissen verhelfen.

Just for my synapses, currently fried under this heat dome, the question boils down to this: would I rather suffer a bit more for the sake of AI, or for the prospect that things might actually get better on this planet again? So, it’s a straight-up choice between selfishness and the collective good - and well, we know just how brilliantly those kinds of questions work out for our species :/
