I’m unsure if that’s even possible in C++ for a “normal program” instead of requiring a full-fledged compiler and even maybe a linker, as C++ syntax is completely context-dependent. There’s no way to tell if i+=b; increments a value or is actually a dynamic hierarchy cast that prints a message to screen and invokes a vector copy with data downloaded from the internet.

I’d venture there’s something in Clang that does this? (clang-tidy, clang-format, who knows), since they implement the syntax tree parser thing.

People were complaining that SMS isn’t secure even in Signal (when SMS by design can’t be), which buils undue mistrust on the project, and Google is the one who controls all the keys to RCS so implementing that was not an option either.

The part where Signal dropped the ball hard is that they could just as well perfectly revived their old, perfectly functional SMS app with a new name and add it to the project,and thus be able to claim they still support SMS. Since SMS is pretty much a build-and-done for thing, it would barely if ever need any maintenance or updates.

That feed, by its very design, is about showing the overview of what is going about “the known fedi”, and we can’t control what other people talk about, fedi or otherwise. If he current news is Luigi, exploded Starlink launches and double Nazi salutes, that’s what’s going to be talked about - and the presence of generalist instances is going to amplify that effect.
