I’m sorry, but I can’t take this seriously right now. How are you resisting exactly? It’s not as if you’re building a whole new infrastructure from scratch, you’re just rearranging the same pieces over and over again and it leads to no changes in the foundation.

Self-hosting is cool, but it’s not a meaningful change in the big picture. As you saw, one manufacturer decided to do something stupid, RAM prices went up, that’s it, simple as that. And you depend on that, unless you have a way to manufacture it yourself, you’re at their mercy.

Self-hosting social networks doesn’t fix the foundational problems with online human communication right now either. It helps a bit, but fix, definitely no.

When self-hosting becomes too expensive, what can you do? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Now, my goal is not to discourage trying, but looking at what we’re actually doing and how to actually make a change. Chasing our own tails will get us nowhere and I fear that’s what powerful people are counting on. “Go play with your cute toys, leave the toy making to us!”

I don’t think there’s any toy that can taste like pussy right now. Maybe there is some Japanese lube which gets close to smell and taste, but the material of the toy itself will always feel off. There probably are some DIY projects to make it a bit closer, but I haven’t looked into that.

The first time I did, it was just to see how I’d feel. Since then it has become a normal part of my sexuality. What I’m hoping to achieve every time now are the effects I listed above.

Why did you end the orgasm denial streak?

Sometimes it’s by accident, but I’ve gotten better at this. My discipline is definitely a lot better now. When it’s not by accident I just felt like I’ve pushed myself enough and allow myself a release. Sometimes I set a specific amount of days as a minimum.

Well Cannabis is definitely very different for everybody. Not only that but a single person can have different “phases” with it. I’ve had periods where I’m sure it wouldn’t have worked for me as well. At some point I just felt it doing it for me, that’s when I started using it more for sex.

I’m definitely curious about psychedelics with sex, I hope to eventually try that. Although it’s not something you can do often. My idea with the post is if people have a substance they often use in a sexual context.

I feel like from the psychedelics, 2C-B probably has the highest potential to be very erotic. From my experience it doesn’t push you deep in your mind the same way mushrooms and LSD do and as a bonus it’s quite stimulating. The sensitivity enhancement is also quite impressive. It has a reputation for being erotic. I’ve never tried it with sex or masturbation, but I can definitely see the potential from my experience. People calling it a weird mixture of LSD and MDMA, I think are right, at least it felt that way to me as well. Although again, it probably depends on the person and it definitely depends on set and setting.

LSD and mushrooms I also haven’t tried for sex or masturbation. By intuition I feel like in lower dosages they can probably work. It’s not impossible in higher dosages, but I feel like you won’t be able to focus as you’re exploring your mind and your environment and also your perspective on sex might feel quite alien, not to mention the body load probably feeling distracting. I might be totally wrong though so take it with a grain of salt, that’s just my personal thinking about them right now.

Well since most current IRC networks either don’t allow NSFW or are too chaotic for it, I just decided to make an open source one where people can directly contribute and steer it however the community wants. Even if you find a NSFW channel/network it’s almost always just porn without any actual discussions. People just spamming links. I’m talking from direct experience. What made me inspired to start this project was writing with people via private messages and seeing how much enthusiasm is actually out there and there’s just no good place to gather or at least I haven’t found one. I also wanted to practice with Ansible, which was a bonus.

Well as I wrote in the website: “The idea is to have ‘live’ discussions and sharing, not act as a ‘forum’. Sometimes people need a direct real time chat (hopefully not with a bot), so this is why the network exists.”

I have plans to add more interactive elements in the future like a way for setting users as “Owned by” or “Owning” for BDSM play and more mechanisms to deal with spammers and etc. but for now I’m just focusing my energy on getting the basics working and seeing if there’s real interest and if people would gather. To me it’s a really interesting technical and social challenge, so even if it doesn’t work as I intended, well my effort and ideas are still out in the open and people can use them if they wish, I’m also learning along the way.
