I have my own instance of this, and it’s become my only front end for YouTube content. The last political shooting (and subsequent firings of commenters of said shooting) made sure of that. I imported my subscriptions, scrubbed all my data, and haven’t looked back since.

I knew this was a shit timeline, but not “Street Trash IRL” bad.

I’m light-skinned, but my wife and kids are brown. I don’t want them living in a country where I can vote without fear, but they can’t.

I got an email at work about this, saying there would be an investigation into employees’ posts.

I can understand if they say something heinous from their work accounts (unless you work for the POtuS, apparently), but there are already rules and regulations for that stuff.

MMW they will use this sort of surveillance and censorship to go after anyone critical of political figures on the far right. If they’re this protective about someone like this, imagine what they could do to silence opposition of other leaders who are alive.

The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails. It always brings me back to my brooding highschool days.

I was a Marine MP back in the early 2000s. I can see this happening. A lot of Marines are loyal to a fault, and many MPs who I served with were drooling for action. The Corps is home to a lot of conservative nutjobs, and they wouldn’t see a problem with detaining left-leaning protesters.

I find the time to do it, but is mostly with my kids and their games. I got them into my Steam library, so it works out. We’re plowing through Subnautica currently, and they absolutely love it.

That’s quite the record. I hope you have lots of keepsakes from them.

Great shows. I’ve seen them 3 times and they killed every time. I hope you get your chance.
