That’s fair. Just wanted to point it out to the user I replied to, who seemingly still uses it but doesn’t realize they don’t need to have that worse experience.

Yeah, absolutely.

You’d probably get a closer split with the general population, but for a search engine mainly used by privacy-conscious people and those wanting to get away from Google’s bullshit, it makes sense.

Don’t use the AI then. That’s kind of the point of this poll/marketing-campaign, to show it can easily be turned off for DDG.
It’s basically a movement with various different groups with similar goals, but no central organization. For example, there is the /r/buyfromEU subreddit, whose mod team has also created a Mastodon account, but who don’t run any of the Lemmy communities AFAIK. A couple of users from the subreddit created the GoEuropean app. Various users also created infographics, which get shared around between the platforms. Lemmy has 2 major communities, this one and !buyeuropean@feddit.uk. There’s some smaller offshoots from users who either didn’t like the instances these are hosted on or had some other issues with them I guess. It’s indeed all a bit fractured right now. As for where to post, pick any that’s active I guess. I’m subscribed to both this one and !buyeuropean@feddit.uk, but I slightly prefer the latter, because I think “Buy European” sounds better as a slogan and explicitely includes Non-EU countries like Switzerland and the UK, which I’m in favor of.
Not sure what I’m supposed to get from that reaction. Was your original post supposed to be sarcastic and you weren’t actually looking for an answer to your question?

There have been some recent studies on Dementia/Alzheimer’s that seem quite important for prevention, such as the link with inflammation such as periodontosis and viral infections..
There isn’t any single organization or person behind it, which is exactly why there isn’t any unified branding.

Putin fände das Recht des Stärkeren super wenn er denn der Stärkere wäre.

Habe ein paar mal ohne Account editiert. Würde aber vermuten <10.

This, and it’s also a form of deterrence in itself. It means that if the US attacks Greenland, they’ll potentially have to kill not just Danish, but also German, French etc soldiers, permanently fucking up relations with those countries beyond repair.
So far, I don’t. Xtorm and Recable are some I’ve seen mentioned.
Those are jpeg compression artifacts. Nothing to do with being AI generated or not. It’s normal that a single-color background will stay clean except around contours, as is the case here.
Those “overpriced” products in your local stores?
You’re supporting your neighbors.
Depends. If I wanted to buy some cables locally, it’d have to be at the electronics store the next town over. It’s part of a chain that was just purchased by a Chinese megacorporation. They sell a single brand of shoddy quality cables for a huge markup, all made in China. At that point, the more ethical choice would be to purchase some Made in Europe cables online (just as pricey, but at least my money won’t go to China).

No, of course not. My point was that this Florida congressman is clueless and probably just doing this to get attention. Trump would never turn Greenland into a state and this bill will go nowhere.

As a state, they would. Of course, Trump would never even consider making them a state and this random congressman didn’t think this through.

Can you be more specific on what reminds you of prisons with your schools? I don’t think any of my schools in Germany looked anything like a prison.
Sure, in which case you can just use the alternate URL.
