At some point, this was a thing.
At some point, this was a thing.
ASRock, as per the lore passed down to me by a former coworker, started as a low cost, second line, for ASUS.
They would just throw crazy mobos together, often with new technologies and new types of components, to test the reaction of the markets. If a particular feature or design was well accepted, ASUS would improve it, repackage it and sell main brand boards with it.
Apparently, at some point, the brand became so popular it was spun-off and became a company on its own.
I have very good experience with their products.
Starcraft
Cheat: power overwhelming
Effect: invencible units
The Protoss would chant the words in such a cool tone and way.
Imagine beating an entire Zerg wave with one unit.
Potatoes are great. Low maintenance crop but it does require a lot of water. Sunchokes are a good option as well, for an Autumn harvest; keeps well in the ground. Down side is the winds.
I’d recommend getting some broad leaf vegetables seeds, like cabbage. My country has a variety that can be harvested leaf by leaf and just keeps growing and producing seeds, year after year. Some turnips, too. And some tomatoes and chillies. And beans.
Upvote for seeing an entirely in-Fediverse cross referencing.
Go shopping. Enough to last for a couple of months. Bring some water, as well. Buy some lumber to reinforce the doors. A few steel panels to close off a few strategic places. Raid the library.
Wait a month and allow flies and the weather do their thing.
See the not-so-dead fall apart.
After I stop seeing movement for three straight days, start blasting noise on a high visibility location from my location and wait to see what crawls out.
By this time, I risk two months have already elapsed.
Go out, with a shovel and an axe.
Dig a large pit, fill it with fire wood. Lay down a few of the corpses. Stack it as high as I can make it. Cover with more fire wood.
Syphon some diesel from a random car.
Light it up!
Rinse, repeat, until all the corpses I can find are disposed of, grouping together all the survivors I come across.
Start over.
'kay, hear me out…
You are a very dangerous individual. And whoever came up with the concept in comic is on an entire level of evil, all on their own. This comic is a crime. Under which category, it is still to be defined.
Do you know hiw many years it took me to work myself around the concept of the Alien Matriarch? Too many. Getting rid of the notion of an old dude going from chimney to chimney dispensing gifts was easy. Old fat men don’t crawl down chimneys.
This forces me to revisit two concepts I never considered possible to overlap.
Now I want to go and find one of those guns the Space Marines used to engage the xenomorphs in Alien II. And a big effing cargo loading exoskeleton.
I’m not sleeping tonigh. Or ever. And this December I’m going to set traps on the roof.
Opinions vary.
It is, isn’t it?
Okay, you’re a mechanic, great, you’re awsome, thank you for your input but oil filters do have a set torque strenght to be tightened to. Overtighten any screw can and will cause damage either to the screw itself or the socket it is being driven into and I’m sure you know it.
I had a mechanic do this - the better to overtighten than not - and strip the socket of the oil level sound: the mounting block was aluminum, the screw was steel. Guess what happened when the sound had to be replaced?
The cost to have that damage alone repaired made scrap the car. It was still in good shape but not worthy of spending that much to repair.
I can’t really put my finger on it, which is stranger considering I adapted well to online classes and courses.
I like to have written theory, followed by practical examples. Videos, especially in YT, tend to feel too fast paced. I feel rushed, I can’t follow while trying to do at the same time.
You’re taking yourself too serious.
Have you ever had someone tell you a joke and the person starts laughing mid sentence? Doesn’t really matter if the joke is good or bad. We have to laugh. Laugh is contagious.
If I didn’t, I wouldn’t.
Stage Three: parlamentary takeover.
The counting is going by fast.
Did you laugh at it?
Are you taking suggestions or questions?
The oils filter is the bright blue thingamabob sticking out the side of the engine on the bottom of the screen.
To remove it, I risk I could, but only after sharing a piece of my mind with the loon that tightened it at that setting.
Hello back to you, stranger. How ya doin’?
