Technology@lemmy.world•Netflix now requires every user profile to be tied to unique email addressEnglish
0·2 days agoThanks. From what I gather, you still need to connect a Google account to it though. Is that correct or did I miss something?

What does Migadu do? I’m not understanding what “consolidation” means in this context. ELI5?

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do I need an alias email service?
1·18 days agoInteresting. Wouldn’t it be easier with a catch-all? Like if I walk into a business and they ask me for an email I could give them business1@domain.com. And then business2@domain.com for the business next door.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do I need an alias email service?
3·18 days agoFair enough. So do you do a custom domain for every single service you use?

2·2 months agoOne big concern here is for things like financial planning… My colleague has a financial planner, and I’d be willing to bet they use AI for her financial planning.
So even if she doesn’t use AI for it, when she hands her data to her financial planner, who knows what they do with it.

5·3 months agoHow can it draft responses based on my conversations if it says that it’s encrypted, and “no one” can read my conversations, “not even Facebook”?

Did the fake info, but it’s impossible to remove the Google account, it seems. It only allows you to switch to another Google account. But not remove entirely.
