I could not care less for “the chosen one” thing, which is just annoying and a tired trope.

SocProf@masto.aito Star Trek Social Club@startrek.website•Neelix calling Tuvok "Mr.s Vulcan" Is actually Tuvok's fault!6·2 years ago@beefcat @sj_zero I agree that the doctor was the “exploring humanity” character until Seven was added. Neelix was the “hospitality” character, Guinan in TNG, and Quark in DS9, but it was poorly written to the point of just being annoying, IMO. If the whole “hounding Tuvok to get him to loosen up” was supposed to be funny, it failed.

He was just annoying. No wonder poor Tuvok couldn’t stand him (and then they got merged :eyeroll: ).

The show because of Shohreh Aghdashloo, whose casting was a stroke of genius. And the books because it’s a great story. Silo (on Apple TV) is also great. #ScienceFiction
@cybervseas @TheAlbatross LD might be harder for new people because there are so many call backs to other series and storylines. This stuff delights us trekkies but might be as great for new folks. @allstartrek #allStarTrek
