OpenShift ist sehr viel im Gespräch, ansonsten noch Azure VMware Services, wobei ich mich da frage wer da ernsthaft so kurzsichtig ist, Azure Local oder einfach in die Cloud.

Für das Cloud Thema könnte man aber mal ein paar Execs Ohrfeigen. Ist für manche workloads sicher interessant, aber wenn man da DB Server hin migriert mit 1TB Ram und teilweise petabyte storage kosten die in einem Monat mehr als die jährlichen Hardware und Personalkosten um das on-prem am laufen zu halten.

Gibt da ein großes deutsches Unternehmen das unter anderem Züge, Medizinprodukte und Kraftwerke baut und die haben alles mit VMware gekappt. Aktuelle Verträge laufen aus und dann soll alles da runter.
