paper handling requires sensors, and logic. i wont even touch that lol, just laying out a do-able road map to truly open source printing

the print head is actually the part I’d like to escape, they are expensive to manufacture, get clogged, and burn out after 3 years of use – sooner than that for the throw away ones in the consumer market. print heads also necessitates an ink flushing system capable of suction. printer that use powder toner can sit for years with only toner degradation but does not ruin the printer itself, unlike leaking ink, or dried ink to the print head. beyond the print heads fragility, the head would need tight micro second electric pulseses set to fire at particular moments in conjuction with the movement of the XY axis. not saying your wrong but i’m just looking at this at a different angle. i want a printer that is hack-able, serviceable and easy to understand.

is it USB? if so im suprised there isn’t a Linux community driver

I have, that’s the printer by the Raspberry Pie team I reference, a step in the right direction but still dependent on proprietary technology which by design is meant for land fill.

I disagree. my generation is the one of the few who wont own a property, while housing sits empty. this isnt a supply issue, its a monopoly issue. we have been priced out.

I’m sure they like the freedom not so much the price though but if what sabreW4K3 has said were in action renting would still be possible the only difference is cost and who you rent from. renting would be far cheaper. landlords could be abolished and replaced with housing maintenance where they work for the tenants and local area in upkeep.

At its face what you say sounds correct but in actuality the division is inherent between worker and boss (repressor and repressed) whereas nationals vs’s migrants is manufactured.

A legal precedent should be established to hold companies as large as CrowdStrike liable for their actions. This liability should be significant enough to ensure that future companies will think twice before releasing faulty code. We should not be asking for or supporting Microsoft’s efforts to further lock down their product.
