Work smart and hard. :-)

Why do you want it to fail? I’m so happy that Sega is one of the companies who does games that are not mainstream boring stuff. In fact, this is something I would expect from a small indie team. Shouldn’t we celebrate that and support?

They can base their pixel art off ai art, that resembles pixel art. Would still count as “no ai in the game” I guess.

Not a single pixel. So they will not generate a single pixel, but multiple pixels?

It doesn’t come with a controller either.
Is this official information or a prediction?

But this is supposed to be a console like all in one device. If the Steam verified program gives a game verified badge for a keyboard centric game, and it does not come with keyboard and mouse, then its simply wrong rated. And I think the verified rating should take this into account and do not verify such games. That is my point I was making.

What do you mean e-waste keyboards?

Some games do not run (or did not in the past) due to codec issues too. Besides anticheat off course.
And then some games for mysterious reasons do not run, like the first Batman Arkham City, but all the following Batman games run on the Steam Deck. The game itself runs on Linux PCs, so its a mystery to me. A quick research shows it would launch with the launch option added -windowed, but I digress.

There are even games that run fine on Steam Deck, which has the rating of not running at all.

Verified for that should no longer be tied to a low resolution (text scaling) or input schema (controller input, touch input.)
Then what’s the point of verifying it for the hardware? The controller should definitely be taken into account, if it comes with a default controller and if the games recommended way to play is a controller. This is meant to be a console like experience, and it probably does not come with a keyboard by default.
Here is a video about this subject: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=hymd3Xc7cCU This channel (SavvyNik) often directly reads and shows parts of the original mailing list source, and if available the relevant part of the interview in video form.
Maybe its not a bad idea to experiment with the tools that lot of people do, so it might help understanding what code it produces. That might be not his original goal, but its a nice side effect I guess.

This sucks. I was waiting for the Nexus Mods to support more games. It was the one hope of having an easy tool to mod games in Linux. The new https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex does not support Linux and they will look how the Linux support could look like in the future… which does not sound promising.
How is this Linux related?
Hopefully this game will come out on Steam too. The blocker seems to be that Steam does not support all modding capabilities of this game. I would be okay with that…
From what I get, it is similar to Minecraft, but the battle is more RPG oriented, including dodging and so on. Also like an RPG it is story driven and has quests and villagers. I never played either games, and it is just what I read about it.
Why do people still pre-order games before release? It’s not like a physical object that will be sold out. Just wait until release and look if its good or bad.
No. WSL contains entire operating systems. Embedding a distribution in an operating system doesn’t make itself the operating system… The OS is Windows not Linux. I’m not sure if you are trolling or not…
Where did I say the controller should be the only way to use it? I said “the default”. Like a game console or handheld, as a developer and player you can expect the standard controller to be supported, for games that are perfectly playable. On console you can even plug in a keyboard, but you can’t expect anyone to have it. But you can expect a controller.
