Democracy ain’t a thing in the US no more. Genuinely, that concept is dead, rule of law is gone, elections don’t matter, it’s done, it’s over. It’s fucking bleak, but I don’t think there is any coming back from this, and frankly, it ruins my whole day.

The vast majority of conversations I have with people on a daily basis are on an order of magnitude more moronic than the ones I have with AI. So that also plays a part.

Not really. A mirror shows an actual reflection of yourself. An AI response is a highly curated version of a particular subset of ideas, in fact, the more I think about it the more this analogy straight up implodes.

You make it sound as if every system is perfectly equal, and that all humans are the same, and that nothing we choose or decide matters at all and that the only form of existence is the one we are seeing right now.
