  • pf2e is very much about tactical combat and teamwork, moreso than any other dndlike system including dnd4e. Its for people that liked 5e but felt there were far too few options, not enough first party content, and little build customizability: e.g. not the typical casual ttrpg fan. It is still fairly simple but a lot of people that aren’t very interested in learning the system bounce off of it harder than 5e. 2e is generally more tactical than pf1e and dnd 3.5, but has simpler numbers and has no overpowered builds as the designers really paid attention to the math they laid out for the game.

sf2e is the same ruleset but has more XCOM-like character abilities and terrain interactions. In general the games feel very dialed in and XCOM-esque, I am unfortunately a habitual munchkin and I never have a character that is overpowered in this system.
