That’s the way 4chan has always been. I stopped using it 20 years ago after seeing a gif of a German shepherd getting hit in the face with a shovel.
They don’t track down these people because they love animals, they do it to ruin someone’s life (for the lulz). It just so happens that in this cases like these ruining someone’s life is beneficial to society.

But I find it pretty hypocritical that you only moderate people you disagree with, rather than enforcing the rules
