Whenever I hear dutch I have a brief moment where I think I’m having an aneurysm and am no longer able to recognise my own language. Then I realise it’s just dutch.
I was once visiting a dutch friend and I was having a Skype chat with some family in Denmark. After the chat my dutch friends goes “ghk hgk ghk. That’s what you guys sound like.” He thought it was very funny until I reminded him that he spoke dutch.
