    This would make sense if politics was a boxing match and the only purpose was to see who would win.

    But this is a government. The most important thing is what to win the fight for.

      But if the Republicans destroy democracy, does it matter if you lost fair? As a German I see a lot of parallels to the weimar Republic and the rise of fachism.
