Khyber pass AK in 7.62x25 tokarev
Are you sure? The ones I see online are the size of a small SMG, smaller than an MP5. The man in the picture is holding what looks like a carbine maybe at the smallest. Additionally most of the Khyber pass AKs are side folding stock from what I see.
The one OP shows looks like a AKMS. The barrel in your photo looks way too short compared to what your average AKMS looks like. The housing from the top that protects the spring and such is likely from another model. Those Afghani AKs are cobbled together sometimes. Resourceful people.

It’s atleast partially handmade, the proportions are really weird and the rear sight looks more like something for a late 19th century rifle. The magazine makes me think it’s not 7.62x39 either, also peep that muzzle break that’s pointed 90° degrees to the right.
Yeah, this looks like a khyber pass special
The mag looks hand made

@Tervell@hexbear.net your knowledge is needed
I concur with the other comments that it’s some kind of custom job (although it doesn’t have to be Khyber Pass specifically, Iraqi & Syrian gunsmiths do cool stuff as well) - the gas tube is way too short, the handguard’s a bit shorter too, there’s… something going on with the rear sight, and the magazine looks off as well (although I’m not sure if it’s 7.62x25 exactly, maybe 8mm Kurz? Dunno)
That handguard is one of the cutest things I’ve seen
Clearly the APS underwater flechette rifle
Is this an AI image? Or at least AI-enhanced zoom?
