clown-to-clown-communicationclown-to-clown-conversation

Idk if this has grown worse in recent years or if I’m only paying attention more.

Every single video about physics (especially relativity or quantum theory) has a deluge of ostensibly misunderstood geniuses who either know why Einstein/Newton/the science community are wrong, or try to look smart by “explaining” the video to others but doing a terrible job of it.

It’s starting to feel like the comments from the flat-earther pages I used to lurk in for entertainment. Except instead of people endlessly denying a round earth, they’re denying a constant speed of light, black holes, or whatever the fuck.

cranks are eternal, but they are getting more common and less prolific.

oh my, that paper has some real treats.

[W]e claim that the photon, electron, graviton, and magniton (word coined by we authors) are all the same particle and only differ in the way they move.

    I. Introduction - Modern physics is dominated by equations.

luminic: relating to light (this word is invented by one of the authors)

absolute-cinema my god these goobers are silly. those guys would be very upset about Emmy Noether if ronda stinky’s florida bothered teaching them to read. or just like, maxwell for that matter…

this is some terryology tier nonsense i fear

If it isn’t rigorously peer reviewed, well-cited and repeatable then it isn’t a real paper, Dave.

    cure-for-fascism

There is a special place in hell for the academically disingenuous. It takes a real piece of shit to fake something that looks scientific to misinform the public. They prey on people not being correctly taught the scientific method to add credibility to their scams and end up fucking up peoples understanding of science and in turn reality and the natural world. People cannot make sound decisions if they are misinformed on reality, so in my opinion, messing with people’s ability to be informed is a special kind of evil. It hampers our understanding of our universe, and sabotages our ability to survive and thrive.

Yeah I’m coming to the conclusion that the midwits are worse for misinformation than the conspiracy-brained. At least shit like “”the sun is actually a power plant for ancient aliens” is funny and obvious bullshit. The midwits know just enough to say things that sound right-ish but are horribly off practically.

The Four Universal Motions In Physics

Scientists know Time Cube, but any scientist supporting the 4 simultaneous days in a single rotation of Earth, will be fired and banned for life from academic institutions. Scientists are evil cowards and should be castrated for obscurantism of the 4 simultaneous days within a single rotation of Earth. Average people understand 4 Day Creation when I tell them about it, but scientist can’t accept it, for the evil bastards think singularity. Singularity can’t procreate, a feat requiring opposites.

citations needed had a livestream about how these ancient aliens book writers like erich von daniken were outsiders in their fields trying to gain clout (through grifting people), a shortcut to some measure of fame and recognition, it also reminds me of the peter thiel employee eric weinstein with his ‘theory of everything’, he got very aggressive when challenged about it by some people, once the grift gets fully exposed they’ll usually switch to a ‘it was entertainment actually’ defense, or ‘it was speculative’ and re-brand/pivot to some other thing like a ‘lifestyle channel’, but yeah grifters pretending to be experts is a big problem in western social media, all of a sudden some youtubers became experts in microbiology, viruses, and vaccines a few years ago (even Max Blumenthal lol), I guess western corps generally stay hands off because 1. don’t want to spend on hiring more content moderators 2. as long it’s not illegal in the country, any sort of outrage still generates traffic, publicly they can say it’s because ‘we have to protect the sacred battleground of ideas’, our ‘town square’ and such
