You aren’t the parents of your pets. They aren’t children.
They aren’t kids but they are family. Who gives a fuck if people love their pets? It gives the pets a good life and the people meaning and it hurts literally no one. What more can you ask for?

That’s what “furry kids” and similia are, just terms of endearment. There are worse things in the world to pick on.If you adopt a child and provide for it, care for it, feed it, water it, and love it. Are you not a parent?
