I do it as early as I can and it makes me feel like a responsible adult, especially because I’m using one of the swaggier filing solutions instead of turbotax or whatever so it’s nice and free
This time around it’s a little more annoying because I have to deal with self-employment stuff from my gig economy job last year. But I actually might get a slight refund which I wasn’t expecting so
Real tax heads do it using the IRS worksheets, no software allowed
I did it one year just to see if I could, it was hell, took two full days
It’s weird that the post office was open on new years day in that episode. I hope someone got fired for that blunder.
Also a good idea to file your taxes as early as you can as it helps prevent fraudulent claims against your SSN.
yep definitely autism
cheer up :)
okie
I was looking for that but “bttv aware reverse” did not lead me where I needed to go
I used to feel that way, but all the turbotax fuckery has got me dreading it. But I’ll give the link you provided a try. I had also tried TaxAct a few years ago, but its just TurboTax under another name.
I’ve been using Freetaxusa since I started having to do taxes and it’s worked great
I used the IRS’s digital version of the 1040 form last year. It fills some of the fields automatically so you don’t have to risk incorrect additions or small typos.
