Netflix says its huge increase in streamers was helped by the second series of South Korean drama Squid Game as well as the expansion of its sports coverage.

The platform streamed two NFL games on Christmas Day and hosted a boxing match between influencer-turned-fighter Jake Paul and former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

So I’m paying more so some dumbasses could watch those two dumbasses “fight”?

TBH it’s not even piracy. Piracy is raiding ships on the open seas and stealing their booty and selling the crew into slavery. Calling file sharing “piracy” is corporate misinformation that was somehow adopted by the general public.

No one loses out when I download UFC. I was never going to pay to watch it anyway.

Similarly with music, I was never buying that random album that I heard a snippet of one track but if I like it and go and see them I’ll buy merch, and they benefit from the ticket sales and the merch, none of which would have happened without me ripping the album in the first place.

It’s true. I have a thousand virtual machines all playing pirated kanye west albums, and he’s broke now. I literally stole all his money.

People really love bitching over a few quid a month. If you don’t like it, leave. Myself and the majority of other users think it’s great value for money. Something to watch every night for a pittance, 44p a day, and their content is better than pretty much all the other contenders.
