I don’t understand what the point of it is or how to consume it.
I have read instructions on how to make it. I can make it as well though of course I am no expert.
- I just don’t know why someone would have it over normally brewed coffee. Is the taste different? I am not the kind of person who can tell difference easily.
- Let’s say you have cold brewed a pot overnight. What do you do with it? Can you heat it before drinking it? Or do you have to drink it cold?

I love cold brew for convenience and just to switch up my coffee routine. I can make a week’s worth of coffee in my cold brew jar, with minimal effort or time, and the result is coffee that’s less bitter, smoother, and stronger than most hot brewing methods. I wouldn’t heat up cold brew, the cold coffee experience is part of why I’m making it.

It’s cold. Good on hot days or to use in an iced coffee/latte etc.
Most of the time it’s not worth the extra time, in my opinion.

Sure, it’s just bean water either way. Should be a bit less bitter than a regular brew.
It tastes different, some people like it more or maybe a person just wants to change things up. Personally I drink espresso, moka pot, and French press all regularly and like them for the different ways they taste and feel. I like cold brew as well but the effort isn’t worth it to me.
You’d likely drink it cold, heating it would change the flavour in what I think most people would describe as a negative way.
Personally I get nausea from iced or cold black coffee for some reason. Maybe if there is some oat milk in it, then it is fine. But otherwise I absolutely don’t like it lol.
I have noticed that if an iced black coffee is too strong it’s strong flavour is masked by the cold. You are also able to down it much master because of that while with hot coffee you have to pace yourself. Could be that or could be something else entirely.
Important to reiterate that oat milk is so good for your stomach. Oats just are in general. It’s like a natural antacid.
I only ever drink cold brew as the occasional treat at a cafe. I have a moka pot at home and just have that coffee over ice. I personally found myself struggling to make it well at home.

It tastes a bit less acidic or smoother than traditional coffee. You really notice the difference comparing a black cold brew to a black iced americano.

You can serve it chilled or over ice. I’ve never heard of reheating it but if you were to try I’d suggest a low heat and to reheat slowly. You might introduce a burnt taste to it if it’s under high heat.

To avoid getting graphic, I’ll just say that compared to regular coffee, your insides feel a lot better if you drink a bunch of it.
