Am I missing something or is this still just a plastic keyboard we’re talking about here? Not hand carved rosewood, not solid gold set with jewels? Exactly what is the extent of the “hand crafted by a single artisan” here?

The only thing “exuberantly irrational” about this scam is the price tag.
